Regions :: North America :: Mexico Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Falls 7%3:30 PM MDT | April 12, 2012 | Vincent Valk North American chemicals sector rail traffic fell 7% year-on-year during the week ended April 7, to 40,426 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was down 3.7%, to 28,614 cars. Canadian traffic fell 14.7%, to 10,633 cars, while Mexican traffic was down 9%, to 1,179 cars. Traffic fell from the prior week’s totals.
