Regions :: North America :: Mexico Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Falls 4.1%10:40 AM MST | February 3, 2012 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America fell 4.1% year-on-year during the week ended January 28, to 41,857 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic fell 1.6%, to 30,410 cars. Canadian traffic fell 13.4%, to 10,290 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 35.2%, to 1,157 cars. Traffic rose from the prior week’s totals.
