Regions :: North America :: Mexico Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Falls 3.1%10:52 AM MDT | August 17, 2012 | Vincent Valk The chemicals sector rail traffic in North America declined 3.1% year-on-year (YOY) during the week ended August 11, to 39,894 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was down 0.4%, to 29,505 cars. Canadian traffic fell 11.1%, to 9,086 cars; while Mexican traffic declined 1.6%, to 1,303 cars. Traffic fell from the prior week’s totals.
