Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Falls 0.9%

Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America fell 0.9% year-on-year for the week ended October 15, to 40,510 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was up 0.9%, to 28,882 cars. Canadian traffic fell 7.3%, to 10,438 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 16.8% to 1,280 cars.
