Boehringer Ingelheim Builds U.S. Supply from Mexico

Boehringer Ingelheim (Ingelheim, Germany), a leading pharmaceutical company and contract manufacturer, says that in recent months it has upped its contract manufacture of pharmaceuticals and pharma ingredients at Xochimilco, Mexico to feed the growing U.S. contract market. The company previously used its production in Mexico solely for the Mexican market. Boehringer says it decided to increase its focus on the U.S. after identifying a lack of competition from other Mexican pharma manufacturers supplying the U.S. market with relatively low-cost, quality products...
