Air Liquide to invest €45 million in construction of air separation unit in northern Mexico

Air Liquide will invest €45 million ($60.8 million) to build an air separation unit (ASU) at Altos Hornos de Mexico's (Ahmsa; Monclova, Mexico) site at Monclova, located about 200 kilometers northwest of Monterrey, Mexico, the company announced today. Ahmsa is one of Mexico’s largest steel producers. Air Liquide has also entered agreements with Ahmsa for the acquisition of an ASU at the site.
