Mexichem expects 4% dip in second-quarter sales

Mexichem (Tlalnepantla, Mexico) estimates that during the second quarter, its sales amounted to about 16.9 billion Mexican pesos ($1.36 billion), 4% below the same period the year before, according to a company filing with the Mexican stock exchange. Sales in dollar terms increased 5% as a result of currency fluctuations. Ebitda is expected to be about peso3.25 billion, about 18% lower than during the second quarter of 2012, the company says.
