Regions :: North America :: Canada Rail Traffic Up 15.4% Last Week2:31 PM MST | February 4, 2010 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 15.4% in the week ended January 30, to 46,085 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR). U.S. traffic was up 12.1%, to 29,893 cars. Canadian traffic rose 22.7% to 15,069 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 15.1%, to 1,123 cars. The figures for the continent and the U.S. are sequential increases from the week before, as sector rail traffic continues a steady climb that began in November of last year.
