Regions :: North America :: Canada Rail Traffic Posts Rise4:15 PM MST | January 28, 2010 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose again last week, by 16.3%, to 45,292 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR). U.S. traffic rose 13.3%, to 28,749 cars. Canadian traffic rose 21.4%, to 15,244 cars, while Mexican traffic was up 30.6%, to 1,299 cars. Traffic across the continent rose from the prior week's totals, as well. Overall, freight rail traffic in North America rose 6.6% last week to 365,641 cars.
