Regions :: North America :: Canada Praxair Announces 10% Price Hike9:56 AM MDT | August 16, 2010 | Nancy Seewald Praxair says it will increase prices for argon, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen by 10%, effective September 1, or as contracts allow. The company will also raise helium prices by 5%, and facility fees or monthly basic charges and cylinder rental rates by 10%. The price increases apply to bulk and packaged industrial and medical gas customers in the U.S. and Canada. Praxair says the price hikes are necessary “to support continued reinvestment in equipment, facilities, and sources to maintain reliable supply, as well as to offset its own rising...
