PotashCorp recalls more workers

PotashCorp says it has begun the recall process at the company's Lanigan, SK, potash mine to reinstate 47 permanent employees. "The recall reflects ongoing tightness in the granular potash market," the company says. PotashCorp announced in mid-June that it would rescind layoff notices affecting 50 workers at the company's Penobsquis, NB, mine, also citing tightness in the granular potash market.
