PotashCorp Earnings Rise 81%, Beat Estimates

PotashCorp reported second-quarter earnings of $840 million, or 96 cts/share, up 81% from the same period last year on higher selling prices for potash, phosphate and nitrogen, and continued high demand for potash and phosphate. The company beat analysts' EPS estimates of 86 cts/share, and recorded the second-highest quarterly earnings in its' history.
