Nova to Boost Ethane Feedstocks at Joffre Plant Under Deal with Hess and Mistral

Nova Chemicals says it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hess and Mistral Energy (Calgary) to purchase and transport ethane produced at Hess’ Tioga, ND gas plant via a proposed pipeline to Alberta. Nova will purchase 100% of the ethane produced under a long-term arrangement, while Mistral will design, construct, own and operate the proposed pipeline, the company says.
