Mosaic Stake Lifts Cargill's Earnings

Cargill reported net earnings of $883 million in its fiscal first quarter ended August 31, up 68% compared with the same period last year, as earnings rose in three out of Cargill's five businesses. Excluding the earnings from its majority state in Mosaic, Cargill earnings gained 51%, to $693 million. Revenue rose 6%, to $27.8 billion....
