European Union, Canada negotiating free trade agreement

The European Union and Canada are negotiating a comprehensive economic and trade agreement (CETA), says the European Commission. The CETA will cover key issues such as new opportunities to access markets, and clear rules for businesses and investors. Negotiations were launched in May 2009 and are now in their final phase.
