Cleantech company receives grant to convert  CO2 into butanol

The Climate Change and Emissions Management Corp. (Sherwood Park, AB) has awarded a $500,000 grant to Oakbio (Sunnyvale, CA), a clean-technology company; and Ohio State University (OSU; Columbus) for their proposal, Conversion of industrial carbon dioxide emissions into biofuels and chemicals, Oakbio has announced. Oakbio will develop a system for converting carbon dioxide from Alberta industrial fluegas emissions into butanol and other biofuels using a system the company developed to produce biobased plastics.
