Chemicals sector rail traffic rises 2.2%

Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 2.2% year-on-year (YOY) during the week ended 20 July, to 41,702 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). US traffic was up 0.1%, to 29,400 cars. Canadian traffic was up 8.1%, to 10,758 cars, while Mexican traffic increased 5.2%, to 1,544 cars.
