Chemicals sector rail traffic rises 0.6%

Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 0.6% year-on-year (YOY) during the week ended 30 March, to 43,944 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). US traffic was down 2.3%, to 30,557 cars. Canadian traffic increased 7.5%, to 11,947 cars, while Mexican traffic was up 9.7%, to 1,440 cars. Traffic increased from the prior week's totals.
