Chemicals sector rail traffic declines 2.9%

Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America fell 2.9% year-on-year (YOY) during the week ended 1 March, to 43,986 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). US traffic was down 0.2%, to 31,278 cars. Canadian traffic fell 6.9%, to 11,471 cars, while Mexican traffic was down 24.7%, to 1,237 cars.
