Regions :: North America :: Canada Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Falls 2.6%3:35 PM MST | February 23, 2012 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America fell 2.6% year-on-year during the week ended February 18, to 42,651 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was down 1%, to 30,408 cars. Canadian traffic fell 6.6%, to 11,128 cars, while Mexican traffic fell 3.7%, to 1,105 cars. Traffic rose from the prior week’s totals.
