Regions :: North America :: Canada Canexus Completes Chlor-Alkali Plant Upgrade10:39 AM MDT | June 16, 2010 | Lindsey Bewley Canexus (Calgary) says it has completed its $206-million technology conversion project for its North Vancouver, BC chlor-alkali facility. The project replaced the site’s existing 50-year-old diaphragm technology and assets with membrane technology and will expand capacity 35% to 210,000 ECUs, a combination of chlorine and caustic soda units. Startup was originally planned for the first quarter of 2010, but was postponed due to delays.
