Regions :: North America :: Canada CF Industries Acquires Canadian Fertilizers Ltd.3:22 PM MDT | August 15, 2012 | Lindsay Frost CF Industries (Deerfield, IL) has entered into an agreement with Glencore International (Baar, Switzerland) to acquire Viterra’s (Regina, SK) Canadian Fertilizers Ltd. (CFL) for C$915 million ($915.3 million) in cash. CFL runs the largest nitrogen fertilizer complex in Canada at Medicine Hat, AB, the company says. “This acquisition is a low-risk expansion of our nitrogen supply capability, as we have operated the complex for over 35 years.
