US chemicals rail traffic down 1.6%

Chemicals sector rail traffic in the US increased 1.6% year-on-year (YOY) during the week ended 9 February, to 29,816 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). The US weekly average for January 2012 was down 2.2% from 2012 levels, AAR says.
