Tronox Earnings Fall on Weak Dollar

Tronox reported a loss from continuing operations of $57.4 million, compared to income of $7.8 million in the year-ago period. “Our fourth-quarter and full-year results continued to be negatively impacted by increased input costs, including process chemicals and freight, and the weak U.S. dollar,” says chairman and CEO Tom Adams. Revenues rose 8%, to $357.6 million, on higher pigment sales volumes.
