Solvay to colocate new alkoxylation plant at LyondellBasell's Bayport site

Solvay announced today that it will build a large-scale alkoxylation unit at an integrated industrial facility of LyondellBasell Industries' Equistar Chemicals affiliate, in order to serve a growing North American market. The unit will be built at Bayport, TX, at a cost of nearly €40 million ($54.1 million) by 2015. Equistar will supply the ethylene oxide raw material.
