Sekisui Sets Up Subsidiaries to Acquire Celanese’s PVOH Business

Sekisui Chemical (Osaka) says it has decided to establish new subsidiaries in Spain and the U.S., through which it will complete the previously announced acquisition of the polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) resin business of Celanese. The U.S. subsidiary, dubbed Sekisui Specialty Chemicals America, will be based at Dallas, TX, and is scheduled to be established in mid-June.
