Reports: Lion Copolymer to shut rubber facility at Baton Rouge temporarily

Lion Copolymer (Baton Rouge, LA) will temporarily shut down its synthetic rubber plant at Baton Rouge, according to local media reports. The length of the closure is still to be determined, the reports say. Lion Copolymer's plant at Baton Rouge has capacity for 159,000 m.t./year of emulsion styrene butadiene rubber (E-SBR) and 16,000 m.t./year of nitrile butadiene rubber, according to IHS Chemical data.
