Delayed regulatory approval postpones introduction of Dow GM corn

Dow AgroSciences says the US launch of its Enlist herbicide-tolerant corn trait technology will be delayed because the company is still waiting for regulatory approval.  If approved, Enlist will be the first glyphosate-resistant seed of any variety to not include Monsanto’s Roundup Ready (RR) trait, the long-term, near-exclusive use of which has led to growing glyphosate weed resistance.  Dow's seed also contains traits that impart resistance to the herbicides 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and glufosinate, and the company says the use of...
