Regions :: North America PotashCorp Restarts Production at Canadian Mine after Fire11:34 AM MDT | September 26, 2012 | Lindsay Frost PotashCorp says production at its Rocanville, SK, mine is to resume today after rescuers put out a fire that had temporarily trapped 20 workers. The fire was started by a wooden spool of cable in the mine, the company says. No injuries were reported, and the last worker rescued returned to the surface yesterday evening. The 2.7-million m.t./year capacity plant produces both standard and granular potash. It had been operating at normal capacity prior to the fire, PotashCorp says.
