PolyOne to close two plants in Brazil

PolyOne announced today that it is closing two production facilities in Brazil – one at Diadema in Sao Paulo state, and one at Joinville in Santa Catarina state. The two plants were part of the company’s specialty engineered materials business, which makes fluids, lubricants and other chemicals for specialized industrial applications. PolyOne will continue to operate its facilities at Novo Hamburgo and Itupeva, and will supply customers in Brazil from those plants, the company says.
