Nova restarts Ontario LDPE facility

Nova Chemicals announced it is restoring operations at its Moore, ON, low-density polyethylene (LDPE) facility to full capacity after temporarily closing the unit after it suffered an unplanned shutdown that required extensive repairs in 2011, the company says. “We are pleased to have our LDPE facility fully restored allowing us to return to the LDPE market,” says Chris Bezaire, senior v.p. for Nova's polyethylene business. “During the period between the incident in late 2011 and now, we committed resources and capital to not only rebuild the...
