Monsanto to invest $100 million to develop corn hybrids for Canadian climate

Monsanto Canada says it will invest $100 million over the next 10 years on breeding corn hybrids with earlier relative maturities (RM) adapted to the diverse geography and climatic conditions found across much of western Canada. Named the Canada Corn Expansion Project, the corn hybrids developed could be widely grown across a potential geography of 26 million acres in western Canada.
