Monsanto Expects Gross Profit to Double By 2012

Monsanto says that it expects to double its gross profit from the end of this year through 2012, citing rapidly growing demand for its seeds and traits. The company outlined growth targets at an investor meeting at St. Louis last week, that include its Dekalb corn seed brand with a market share that is expected to grow as much as 10 percentage points in the U.S. through 2012.
