Momentive Specialty Chemicals announces price increases

Momentive Specialty Chemicals announced several price increases, effective 1 February, due to “significant” increases in raw material prices—most notably for propylene, benzene, styrene, surfactants, and acrylic monomers. In the United States and Canada, all of the company’s acrylic, styrene acrylic, vinyl acrylic, and other polymers used in the adhesives, textiles, nonwovens, and other specialty markets will increase by 5–8 cts/wet lb.
