Linde breaks ground on gas liquefier at La Porte, TX

Linde announced today it has broken ground on an industrial gases liquefier at a previously announced project at La Porte, TX. The plant will produce liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon at a air separation unit (ASU) the company is building there. The $200-million project will also include a gasification train and supporting equipment and facilities, the company says. “The La Porte liquefier will give us the size and operating efficiencies we need to meet the rapidly growing demand in the Houston Ship Channel area,” says Scott Latta, v.p./southern...
