Regions :: North America Gaylord Chemical Signs DMS Deal1:28 PM MST | March 3, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Gaylord Chemical (Slidell, LA) says it has signed a long-term contract with Hunt Refining (Tuscaloosa, AL) under which Gaylord will provide its proprietary dimethyl sulfide (DMS) technology to a 50-million lb/year DMS plant that Hunt is building at Tuscaloosa. Gaylord will have exclusive access to the new plant’s DMS output, a raw material used by Gaylord’s dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) production. The DMS plant is due for completion in mid-2010.
