Final CMAS rule narrows applicability, extends compliance deadline

EPA has finalized its Chemical Manufacturing Area Sources (CMAS) rule, and the changes made will give industry more certainty and narrow the universe of emissions sources affected by the rule, industry representatives say. ACC and Socma say they welcome EPA’s efforts to answer industry’s concerns, but are disappointed that some of industry's recommended changes were not included.
