Regions :: North America Evonik completes amino acid expansion2:20 PM MST | December 7, 2012 | Rebecca Coons Evonik says it has completed an L-lysine capacity expansion at Blair, NE. The project doubled the site's output, to 280,000 m.t./year, and will help the company meet growing demand from the pig and poultry industries for the amino acid. Feedstock and infrastructure are provided by Cargill, Evonik's partner in the Blair plant. Evonik is also investing in L-lysine plants in Brazil and Russia.
