Eastman to Beat First-Quarter Estimates

Eastman Chemical says first-quarter earnings excluding special items â€śare expected to be above the high end of the current rangeâ€ť of analystsâ€™ estimates of $1.30/share as reported by First Call (Boston). â€śThis solid performance was primarily due to continued strong sales volume and higher selling prices offsetting higher raw material and energy costs,â€ť Eastman says.
