Eastman plans Tritan expansion at Kingsport

Eastman Chemical says it will increase capacity for Tritan copolyester at Kingsport, TN to support growing sales of the bisphenol A-free polymer into medical, durable goods, and infant care markets. Financial terms were not disclosed. The company says it will increase capacity from 60,000 m.t./year to 76,000 m.t./year through a series of capital projects.
