Chinese firm to establish phosphate plant in Georgia

Hubei Xingfa Chemicals (HXC; Yichang, China), a phosphate and fine chemical producer, will open a US headquarters and manufacturing plant in Effingham County, Georgia. The governor of Georgia, Nathan Deal, announced the plans in Shanghai yesterday. The plant will be located on an 83-acre site and include a phosphates production line. HXC will export the plant's products to markets in other parts of North America through the nearby port of Savannah, GA, the fourth-largest and fastest-growing container port in the United States.
