Calgon Carbon has signed a ten-year contract with the city of Scottsdale, AZ, to reactivate carbon used in drinking water. About 6 million pounds of carbon is expected to be reactivated annually, and the value of the contract depends on that amount. Calgon Carbon says it will build a reactivation facility in Gila Bend, AZ. The reactivation facility, which is expected to be completed in 2013, will have an annual reactivation capacity of approximately 25 million...
