Regions :: North America Butamax Files Additional Infringement Charges Against Gevo9:41 AM MDT | August 8, 2012 | Rebecca Coons Butamax Advanced Biofuels (Wilmington, DE), a biobased isobutanol joint venture equally owned by DuPont and BP, says it filed an additional lawsuit against rival Gevo (Englewood, CO), alleging Gevo infringes Butamax patent 8,222,017 (‘017 patent), which protects a subset of improved KARI enzymes in the isobutanol production pathway. Gevo issued a statement saying the lawsuit is without merit and that the company has filed a "Request for Interference" with the U.s.
