BASF Joins Cargill-Novozymes Project to Develop Biobased Acrylic Acid Technology

BASF, Cargill, and Novozymes have signed an agreement to jointly develop technologies to produce acrylic acid from renewable raw materials. Novozymes and Cargill have collaborated on renewable acrylic acid technology since 2008. BASF, the world's biggest producer of acrylic acid via the conventional route of propylene oxidation, now joins the collaboration.
