Regions :: North America Ashland to build heat recovery generators at KY facility10:46 AM MST | January 30, 2013 | Lindsay Frost Ashland announced it is investing $15 million to build 3 heat recovery steam generators at its specialty ingredients production facility at Calvert City, KY. Construction of the generators is expected to begin in March and completed in the spring of 2014. Ashland says the generators will reduce emissions and improve the plant’s operating efficiency. The generators will replace an aging and inefficient coal-fired boiler, as well as two gas-fired boilers and may eventually be combined with turbine/generator sets that would serve as a cogeneration system for...
