Alpek cuts 2014 Ebitda guidance by $70 million

Alpek (San Pedro Garza García, Mexico), a subsidiary of Grupo Alfa (Monterrey, Mexico), has revised down its Ebitda guidance for 2014 from $570 million to $500 million, the company announced today. The company had issued the initial guidance in February, when it expected the figure to remain flat compared with 2013. "The first half of the year was more challenging than we had anticipated, but recent sequential improvement in market conditions is encouraging as we enter the second half of the year," the company says.
