Air Products plans first-of-its-kind helium plant

Air Products announced today that it will build a first-of-its-kind plant to extract helium from a naturally occurring underground carbon dioxide (CO2) gas source. The project is expected to being operation in spring 2015 at Doe Canyon, CO, where Kinder Morgan CO2 Company processes CO2  for enhanced oil recovery applications in West Texas’s Permian Basin.
