ACC CAB grows for 10th consecutive month

ACC's monthly chemical activity barometer (CAB) shows 0.1% growth over April on a 3-month moving average (3MMA) basis. The gain is the 10th consecutive month of increases in the CAB, following downward revisions for March and April of 0.4% for both months, ACC says. Expansion was seen in the production of plastic resins for consumer and institutional applications, which suggests further consumer-driven economic gains, ACC says.  “On a year-over-year basis, the barometer is up 3.1% over May 2012,” says Kevin Swift, chief economist...
