Starts Up Sulfone Polymers Plant in Ohio2:42 PM MST | November 7, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Solvay Advanced Polymers says it has completed construction of a world-scale sulfone polymers plant at Marietta, OH. Total investment in the facility was $50 million. The plant has capacity to produce Solvay’s sulfone polymer products, including its Radel A polyethersulfone and Radel R polyphenylsulfone. Solvay has also expanded capacity of 4-4 dichlorodiphenyl sulfone, a key monomer used in sulfone production, at its Augusta, GA plant.
