Simon Carves Selected for Abu Dhabi Fluorides Plant10:40 AM MDT | July 25, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Simon Carves says it has been awarded a contract by Gulf Fluor (Abu Dhabi) to build an anhydrous hydrofluoric acid (AHF) and anhydrous aluminum fluoride (AIF3) plant, incorporating a sulfuric acid and oleum unit, at the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi. The plant will initially have capacity for 60,000 m.t./year of AIF3 and 10,000 m.t./year of AHF, and is scheduled for completion in 2009. Buss Chem Tech (Pratteln, Switzerland) will provide technology and equipment for the AHF-AIF3 plant, and Simon Carves will design and supply the sulfuric acid-oleum unit...
